Subject: RE: ECF 5 cardinality bug for person aliases

Another bug in ECF 5 has been reported related to Organization Aliases (dba, etc.)

Looking at the mapping document , the intended XPath to this element is nc:Organization/j:OrganizationAugmentation/j:OrganizationAlternateName.

However, j:OrganizationAugmentation is missing from the NIEM subset. Iâll add that to the list to get fixed.

Subject: ECF 5 cardinality bug for person aliases

In ECF 4, we mapped both person and organization aliases to ecf:Alias.

In ECF 5, we mapped person aliases to nc:PersonName and organizational aliases to nc:OrganizationAlternateName.

Unfortunately, the cardinality for nc:Person/nc:PersonName is 0,1 which prevents representing both the âtrue nameâ and one of more aliases.

A simple fix to ECF 5.0 would be to relax the cardinality on nc:Person/nc:PersonName to 0,unbounded to allow one or more aliases.

So it looks like we will need either an errata for 5.0 or a minor version 5.01.
