Subject: Re: [legalxml-econtracts] Schema evaluation criteria d0.01
Peter, et al: This is a terrific start. I regret I won't be able to join the next meeting to discuss and move forward with the analysis of the identified host schemas. A couple of quick comments - * In section 9, you ask whether we need to limit our host to a schema, or if a dtd is okay. I was under the impression that we're assuming a schema at this point. I'm not stuck on that, but it was my impression. * I think it is worth listing each "required" structural components in Section 10.1 (you seem to have hit all the major ones, but if we're missing any, this is the place to include it, so we can make a table at the end of the analysis and see if any important cells are not ticked). * I was thinking on a much more limited scope when I started writing up criteria that came to my mind (basically, the stuff you captured in Sections 2, 3, 5 and 7). I'm really impressed by the holistic nature of the criteria, especially Sections 10, 11 and 12. These criteria lot of expertise in the area and generally enhance my confidence that our ultimate Spec will be sound, efficient and ... really cool. Perhaps the next step (after validation of the content of the criteria by the group as a whole) is to render it in an evaluation table so we can quickly scan down and compare our options. Sign me up for whatever needs doing at the next call (my punishment for an absence). Thanks, - Dan G. ==================================================== Daniel J. Greenwood, Esq.
