Subject: Minutes Draft from the OASIS Legal XML Member Section Electronic Contracts Technical Committee Secretary (File id: @@2792)

               Minutes, Teleconference of April Fifth
The OASIS Legal XML Member Section e-Contracts Technical Committee

Present:

Daniel Greenwood
Dr. Laurence Leff
Dave Marvit
Peter Meyer
Dr. Zoran Milosevic
Rolly Chambers

The meeting started late at 18:22. (This was because several members
had difficulty telephoning into the teleconferencing provider.)

The Technical Committee discussed Outstanding set of Comments on the
specification at:
http://www.oasis-open.org/archives/legalxml-econtracts-comment/200701/msg00000.html
It discussed whether to make a change in the specification based upon these
comments.

It was decided that his suggestions were good options for further
investigation and inclusion in a later version of the eContracts
standard. The TC noted that it had earlier decided to allow users to
add their own mechanisms and mark up for contracts.

The Technical Commitee scheduled the next two meetings for April Twelvth
and April Nineteenth at the usual time. It is anticipated that April
Twelvth meeting will be used to review the draft Press Release and the draft
response to the comments received. It will also be used to prepare
for the April Ninteeth meeting which is anticipated to be the meeting
at which the TC will vote to formally request the Organization for the
Advancement of Structured Information Standards to conduct a ballot in
accordance to their established procedures.

To prepare for the April Twelvth meeting, Mr. Peter Meyer volunteered to
work with Ms. Mary McRae, Manager of Technical Committee Administration
for the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information
Standards on procedural issues. Mr. Meyer also volunteered to prepare
a draft response to the comments received.

Dr. Laurence Leff noted that as part of the contract for writing
help, Western Illinois University drafted a possible press release to
be used to announce approval of the specification. Dr. Leff will
forward this to the the OASIS Legal XML Member Section e-Contracts
Technical Committee.

There was a brief discussion of invitations to the April 19th meeting
and Dr. Laurence Leff as the Technical Committee Secretary will be
following up on obtaining lists of those previously involved with
our specification.

The Meeting adjourned at 18:53 New York Time.
