In review of the state Apostille Survey I think that I saw the following answers:

 

 

1. Do you retain paper copies of the notary’s original application? Yes - 27; No - 8; N/A - 2.

 

2. Do you scan the paper copies into a database?  Yes – 22; No – 13; N/A – 2.

 

3. When a request is for an Apostille received does the clerk compare the signature on the document to the signature on the original paper application?  No – 26; Yes – 5; N/A – 6.

 

4. If not (see #3 above) how do you insure that a notary was a notary at the time of notarization? Check database – 19; Pull signature card – 2; N/A – 16.

 

5. What training does your Apostille clerk get before she starts her duties? On-the-job (OJT) – 29; None – 2; N/A 6.
