Hi John,

Declan's multiple articles on the Cisco TapMIB
implementation is making the rounds.  It's worth
noting there are multiple inaccuracies - perhaps
the most significant of which relates to the granularity
of the interceptions.  A specific communication can
in fact be extracted.

What's rather unfair here is that Cisco is being
singled out.  There are multiple other vendors,
including Cisco's competitors, that have similar
capabilities.  These capabilities are also not
optional.  They are mandated by law in almost
every jurisdiction worldwide.

On the positive side, it is this LI-XML TC that is
providing some of the key specifications that relate
to accountability.  Cisco is not in that business.
