Short Notes from October 21st meeting of the OASIS/LegalXML Legislative TC

Most of meeting dealt with the concentration on meta data produced and links to legislative documents. Meta data discussed included the taxonomy of terms/subjects, bill summary and other information that is about legislation that may or may not be included in the legislative documents, and Dublin Core information.

 

Next Steps:

• Joe Carmel and Daniel Bennett said they would reach out to NCSL, individual states (note Joe Carmel's Minnesota email), and Canada for both participation and also to find out the status of meta data tagging efforts.
• Each organization involved would create a list what meta data they produced, what meta data that they include in documents, and to prioritize them so to determine which ones would be most helpful and easiest to standardize.
• Set up a Thursday afternoon meeting date and time. Please let me know if Nov. 13th at 3pm is possible.
