"Call for Nominations for Three At-Large Members of the LegalXML Member
Section Steering Committee"

The LegalXML Member Section Steering Committee is responsible for the
overall guidance of the technical committees affiliated with LegalXML and,
in its representative capacity, the Steering Committee reviews requests for
Member Section resources in support of the work of technical committees and
has the power to direct its Chair to recommend to the Executive Director of
OASIS that an expenditure be made from the discretionary funds allocated to
the Member Section.

The members of the Steering Committee were originally carried over from the
Board of Directors of the original "LegalXML" organization. Presently, the
membership is being changed to reflect the makeup of the LegalXML technical
committees. Representatives to the Steering Committee are being elected by
their respective technical committees. In addition, the new Steering
Committee will be completed with the addition of three (3) at-large
representatives from among the LegalXML Member Section.

Any member of the Member Section (by virtue of being a member of one or more
LegalXML technical committees) may serve in the role of At-Large Steering
Committee Member. Nominations for this role are hereby requested for the
following three weeks beginning on Friday, November 7th, 2003. Nominations,
including self-nominations, must be sent to Don Bergeron, Chair of the
Steering Committee, at donald.bergeron@lexisnexis.com no later than 5:00
p.m. Eastern time on Friday, November 28th, 2003. Elections will take place
over a subsequent two-week period ending on Friday, December 12th, 2003. All
members in good standing of the LegalXML Member Section shall be eligible to
vote to fill these at-large positions.
