Subject: Globalex Workshop on Lexicography and Neology - ONLINE - November 4

Papers from the 2nd Globalex Workshop on Lexicography and Neology (GWLN2) will be presented online on November 4 at 14:30-17:30 CET.

GWLN2 is co-located with the Euralex XIX Congress in Alexandroupolis, Greece, which has been postponed to 2021 (https://euralex2020.gr/).

The virtual workshop will comprise only six papers, each lasting 20 minutes + 5 minutes for questions. The program is as follows:

14:30-14:35       OPENING

·       14:35-15:00       Dictionary of Slovak neologisms. Martin Ološtiak and Soňa Rešovská, Slovakia

·       15:00-15:25       The presence of Brazilian Portuguese neologisms in dictionaries. Ieda Maria Alves and Bruno Maroneze, Brazil

·       15:25-15:50       How to treat once new, but outdated neologisms in dictionaries. Vivien Wasznik, Netherlands

15:50-16:05       BREAK

·       16:05-16:30       Automatic analysis of the dictionariability of neologisms: The Garbell for Catalan. Judit Freixa Aymerich, Spain

·       16:30-16:55       Semantic and morphologic aspects of Spanish dialectal varieties in the Antenario dictionary. Andreína Adelstein
                             and Victoria de los Ángeles Boschiroli, Argentina

·       16:55-17:20       When neologisms don't reach the dictionary: Occasionalisms in Spanish. Pedro Javier Bueno Ruiz, Spain

17:20-17:30       CONCLUDING REMARKS
