The thing is, all of the document (except the relational database serialization section) will need to be revisited to implement these renaming changes.

The properties forLanguage and forPartOfSpeech do not describe what kind of values they take. I assumed a non-empty string.

That is correct.

placeholderMarker does not describe any properties but has startIndex and endIndex in the examples

This is not an error; placeholderMarker has no properties at the model level, and can be implemented either as inline markup in XML or as stand-off markup in other serialization (using startIndex and endIndex).

The RDF ontology was implemented with OWL union classes but I might change this to open classes before we finalize the spec.
