OASIS News 18 November 2002 Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements, accomplishments and activities for the XML interoperability consortium. --------------------------------------------------------- OASIS HumanMarkup TC Approves Spec The OASIS HumanMarkup TC has voted unanimously to approve its huml-primary-base-1.0 document as a Committee Specification. The TC has begun a 30-day public review period of the specification, which will conclude 12 December 2002, comments and feedback are requested. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/members/200211/msg00006.html --------------------------------------------------------- Tax XML TC Is Coming to OASIS A Call for Participation has been issued for the new OASIS Tax XML TC. The Tax XML initiative will include researching and analyzing personal and business tax reporting & compliance information in order to develop common XML vocabularies and templates to facilitate interoperability. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/members/200211/msg00007.html --------------------------------------------------------- IDEAlliance XML 2002 Momentum Is Growing At last count, at least 60 OASIS members will be presenting at XML 2002 in Baltimore. This will be a great event and an opportune time to make a press release. Mark your calendars now for the OASIS reception to be held at XML 2002 in the evening of Wednesday, 11 December, details to follow.
