OASIS News 20 April 2005 Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements, accomplishments, and activities for the international standards consortium. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Members Vote on ebXML Registry, OpenDocument, and DITA OASIS organizational members are asked to vote on four specifications that have been submitted for consideration as OASIS Standards. The ebXML Registry Information Model (RIM) v3.0 and ebXML Registry Services and Protocols (RS) v3.0 offer a method for defining and managing interoperable registries and repositories. OpenDocument provides an XML-based file format specification for office applications. The Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) provides an end-to-end architecture for authoring, producing, and delivering readable information as discrete, typed topics. Balloting for all these specifications closes 30 April. ebXML Registry: http://www.oasis-open.org/archives/members/200504/msg00008.html OpenDocument: http://www.oasis-open.org/archives/members/200504/msg00006.html DITA: http://www.oasis-open.org/archives/members/200504/msg00007.html --------------------------------------------------------------------- OASIS Announces Board and TAB Elections Schedule Dates for the 2005 elections for the OASIS Board of Directors and Technical Advisory Board have been posted, and Consortium staff will begin accepting nominations on 26 April.
