OASIS News 25 September 2006 Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements, accomplishments, and activities for the international standards consortium. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Members Form OASIS Forest Industries Technical Committee The OASIS Forest Industries TC will develop specifications for the electronic transfer of forest industry data from forest to customer. There are currently two standards in use covering electronic trading (eFIDS), and the transfer of spatial data (GIS data transfer standard). All OASIS members are invited to participate. http://www.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/200609/msg00017.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Public Review Begins for FWSI Functional Elements v2.0 CD 3 The OASIS Framework for Web Services Implementation (FWSI) TC has approved the Functional Elements Specification v2.0 CD 3 specification as a Committee Draft and submitted the package for public review. The specification defines methods and functional components for broad, multi-platform, vendor-neutral cross-industry implementation of Web services.
