OASIS News 27 November 2006 Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements, accomplishments, and activities for the international standards consortium. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Review EDXL-HAVE v1.0 The OASIS Emergency Management TC has recently approved the Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL) Hospital AVailability Exchange (HAVE) v1.0 specification as a Committee Draft and submitted the package for public review. HAVE describes a standard message for data sharing among emergency information systems using the XML-based EDXL. The OASIS DCML Member Section fosters support for the development of DCML, an XML-based specification for representing the contents of data centers and information used in managing those contents. The purpose of the DCML Member Section Steering Committee is to coordinate the activities of OASIS DCML TCs that are part of the Member Section as well as to promote the adoption and implementation of specifications developed by DCML TCs and DCML technology in general through appropriate marketing efforts. The theme is "Enabling Efficiency between Government, Business and the Citizen: Managing Secure Interactions in Sector Applications." Presentations and discussions relate to the tools, standards and implementations that are transforming security interactions and relationships between citizens, businesses, governmental agencies. Keynote speakers include Karel De Vriendt, Head of Unit for the European Commission's Enterprise and Industry Directorate-General, and Mark D.
