Committee Submits ebBP v2.0.4 for Consideration as OASIS Standard

The OASIS ebXML Business Process (ebBP) Technical Committee has
submitted the ebBP Specification Schema v2.0.4 to be considered as an
OASIS Standard. ebBP provides a standards-based business process
foundation that promotes the automation and predictable exchange of
business collaboration definitions using XML. Axway, Bologna, and
Fujitsu have certified successful use of ebBP 2.0.4. On 16 November, a
Call For Vote will be issued to all OASIS member organizations.

UBL 2.0 Submitted as OASIS Standard

The OASIS Universal Business Language (UBL) Technical Committee has
submitted the UBL v2.0 specification set to be considered as an OASIS
Standard. UBL defines a common XML library of business documents
(purchase orders, invoices, etc.). Sun Microsystems, OSS Nokalva,
Cognitran, and Booz Allen Hamilton have certified successful use of UBL
2.0. On 16 November, a Call For Vote will be issued to all OASIS member
organizations.

HumanMarkup Closes

The OASIS HumanMarkup TC has completed its work and is now closed. OASIS
wishes to thank the members and leadership of the TC for their
contributions and dedication to this effort. The work that the TC
produced during its tenure will remain accessible at its public pages
and the TC email archives will also remain permanently accessible.

Public Review Begins for Code List Representation Requirements v1.0

The OASIS Code List Representation TC has recently approved Code List
Representation Requirements v1.0 specification as a Committee Draft and
submitted the package for public review. The Code List Representation
Requirements specification defines an XML format for interchange,
documentation and management of code lists (a.k.a. controlled
vocabularies or coded value enumerations) in any processing context. The
public review ends 26 Nov.

OASIS LegalXML Electronic Court Filing TC Approves IPR Transition

Members of the OASIS LegalXML ECF TC have voted to adopt the "RF on
Limited Terms" IPR mode for their ongoing work. In selecting this mode,
obligated TC members agree to grant nonexclusive, worldwide,
non-sublicensable, perpetual patent licenses without payment of
royalties or fees. See the OASIS IPR Policy for more details.
