TCs submit WS-BPEL, DSS, WS-Context, and WS-Transaction for Vote as OASIS
Standards

Four specification sets have been submitted for balloting as OASIS Standards in
March: WS-Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) 2.0; Digital Signature
Services (DSS) 1.0; WS-Context 1.0; and WS-Transaction 1.1. WS-BPEL enables
users to specify business processes that are both composed of, and exposed as,
Web services. DSS describes signing and verifying request/response protocols.
WS-Context defines a generic context model for Web services, providing support
for session management. WS-Transaction defines protocols for coordinating the
outcome of distributed application actions. Members who wish to discuss any of
these specifications may do so through member-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org. On
16 March, Calls for Vote on these specifications will be issued to all OASIS
member organizations.

1.1 as a Committee Draft and submitted the package for public review. DITA 1.1
advances a document creation and management specification that builds content

New case study on T-Mobile's ebXML implementation is published

An ebXML-based B2B gateway that processes approximately one thousand B2B
messages per hour is the subject of a new case study from OASIS. Sponsored by
Axway, the case study describes how international communications carrier,
T-Mobile, came to select the ebXML Message Service and the ebXML Collaboration
Protocol Profile and Agreement OASIS Standards for its gateway.
