Subject: Announcing OASIS Changfeng Open Standards Lab Member Section

OASIS members:

We are pleased to announce formation of the OASIS Changfeng Open Standards
Lab (COSL) Member Section. This new group within OASIS will serve as a focal
point in Asia for discussions of SOA-related open standards technology and
implementation, End-to-End Resource Planning (EERP), and other relevant
issues.

You are invited to join with the proposers of the OASIS COSL Member Section
in their work:
    * To serve as a focal point for discussions of SOA-related open
standards technology and implementation, End-to-End Resource Planning
(EERP), and other relevant issues as applicable in Asia;
    * To assist in the dissemination of, and collection of responses for
EERP. The EERP effort focuses on how to build a framework that manages all
services that a company requires to produce and deliver the products or
services to its ultimate consumers. Therefore, EERP includes the extended
research on how to evaluate services and processes subject to business
objectives and how to composite and de-composite services subject to
optimization.
    * To facilitate and encourage the re-use and information sharing for
SOA-related standards, technologies, and applications.
    * To assist OASIS in promotion and adoption of open standards.
    * To facilitate incubation research related to SOA implementation and
EERP.
    * Where the specific needs suggest additional work, to discuss, scope,
and, if needed, initiate additional standardization projects within OASIS.

OASIS Member organizations are invited to become Supporting Entities of the
COSL Member Section by having their Primary Representative notify
member-services@oasis-open.org. There is no additional cost to be a
Supporting Entity of OASIS COSL and no dues allocations will be made for
this Member Section. Organizations that affiliate with OASIS COSL will be
eligible to vote in future Member Section Steering Committee elections and
will be recognized on the Member Section web site.

Any OASIS member may subscribe to the OASIS COSL Member Section mailing
list by notifying member-services@oasis-open.org. Employees of Supporting
Entities will be subscribed as full Members (able to post to the list);
employees of organizations that are not Supporting Entities will be
subscribed as Observers (able to receive messages but not post to the list).

The OASIS COSL Member Section Steering Committee will consist of five
members. To launch the Member Section, initial Steering Committee members
were determined by the OASIS COSL proposers. The initial Steering
Committee includes Eunju Kim, Ph.D. - NIA (National Information Society
Agency of Korea), Andy Lee, Ph.D. - Changfeng Open Standards Platform, Yang
Yupu - Beijing Digital China Limited. In addition, two members will be
