Subject: Security Challenges for the Information Society, an Open Standards Forum
The early-bird discount ends 29 August for the Security Challenges for the Information Society Forum! Registration is now open and discounts for early registration, groups and OASIS members are available. http://events.oasis-open.org/home/forum/2008/registration. 30 September-3 October Ditton Manor, near London, UK http://events.oasis-open.org/home/forum/2008 Security today isn't just a matter of new technology and new threats. Security is about doing business in new ways that reflect the emerging dangers in our world, the evolving concerns of customers, investors and employees. Security infrastructures need open standards and interoperability to scale to the huge deployments that are being rolled out. Many security standards from OASIS and other organizations support a model where identity authentication, access control, digital signature processing, encryption and key management are provided as services that can be distributed and shared. The Forum will provide a unique opportunity for the security standards community (public sector, private sector and standards developing organizations) to come together to discuss current issues and challenges, strategic approaches, recent successes, and future outlooks. The event is produced by OASIS and sponsored by Alcatel-Lucent, Axiomatics, CA, Inc., IBM, IDTrust Member Section, Nortel, Oracle, Primeton, and Sun Microsystems. For registration information, including group discounts, special hotel rates, or to see a full conference program -- please visit the conference website: http://events.oasis-open.org/home/forum/2008 or email us at events@oasis-open.org. We look forward to seeing you this fall at Ditton Manor.
