Members propose Symptoms Autonomic Framework (SAF) TC

All interested parties are asked to review and comment on a draft charter to establish the OASIS SAF Technical Committee. SAF seeks to holistically integrate information and processes by defining a standard XML-based framework that will enable the collection, detection, isolation, and remediation/optimization of the operational or business characteristics of complex systems. The work will apply to both IT and non-IT domains including operational and service management, governance, and security. SAF TC proposers represent IBM, CA, and Fujitsu; Jeffrey Vaught of CA serves as convener. The member comment period for this draft charter closes 7 Sept.
