Important OASIS Bylaws update

OASIS Members:

The OASIS Board of Directors has approved 4 Resolutions to update the Bylaws.� The changes intend to:

-��������� Make Board seats available only to Members and employees, designees and representatives of Members

-��������� Make Board officer positions available only to Board members

-��������� Prohibit more than one Director from the same company being on the OASIS Board at the same time

-��������� Clarify written consent to include electronic communication

These changes are now subject to Member approval via the ballot at

http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/voting/ballot.php?id=1929 �

All voting members, as designated in the bylaws (Contributor, Sponsor and Foundational Sponsor members) are eligible to vote in this ballot.

Member approval of these amendments will make these changes effective immediately after the ballot closes, but you retain the right to withdraw from the organization if you chose to not be bound to the Bylaws as amended.
