enables communication between encryption systems and enterprise
applications, including email, databases, and storage devices. The

Web Services Security Maintenance (WSS-M) TC forms

All interested parties are invited to participate in the new OASIS
WSS-M Technical Committee. The group will work to perform ongoing
maintenance for WS-Security 1.1 and the token profiles produced by the
WSS TC (which is now closed). The WSS-M TC will operate under the
Non-Assertion Covenant mode of the OASIS IPR Policy. TC proposers
include representatives of OASIS Foundational Sponsors, IBM and
Microsoft, as well as Fujitsu, NeuStar, Oracle, Red Hat, Tibco, and
others. Tony Nadalin of Microsoft is the convener; a TC chair or two
co-chairs will be elected at the first meeting, which will be held by
teleconference on 29 Sep. Contact join@oasis-open.org for details on
participation.

Members propose Transformational Government Framework TC

All interested parties are asked to review and comment on a draft
charter for the TGF TC, which proposes to define an overall framework
for shifting from e-government’s traditional focus on transactional
services and online content towards the use of real-time knowledge
management and mobile workflow applications. TGF TC proposers include
representatives of OASIS Foundational Sponsor, Microsoft, as well as
Fujitsu, and others. John Borras serves as convener. The member
comment period for this draft charter closes 13 Sep.

Emergency Adoption Committee launches EDXL Product Directory

This online directory showcases the extensive range of products that
support the Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL), a suite of
standards designed to enhance information sharing in the emergency
management and response community. Users can search the EDXL Directory
to find products that support specific versions of the standards,
including CAP, EDXL-DE, EDXL-HAVE, and EDXL-RM. Users may also refine
their searches to identify products that have participated in OASIS
Interoperability Demos and/or the NIMS Supporting Technology
Evaluation Program (NIMS STEP). The EDXL Product Directory is provided
as a resource to the community; vendors with relevant products are
invited to submit listings.
