Staff is asking all members to complete a brief, six-question survey to determine perceived value and preferred format. Anonymous results will be posted to the members mailing list in mid-December. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/oasis-member-meeting --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DITA 1.2 becomes OASIS Standard Members have approved the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) version 1.2 as an OASIS Standard. DITA defines an XML architecture for designing, writing, managing, and publishing many kinds of information in print and on the Web. Congratulations to the DITA TC chair, Don Day, and to all TC participants including representatives of Foundational Sponsors: IBM, ISIS Papyrus America, and Microsoft; and Sponsors: Adobe, Boeing, Cisco, Citrix, Comtech, Intel, Nokia, Oracle, PTC, Quark, SAP, SDL, US Department of Defense, U.S. Veterans Health Administration, and others for this accomplishment. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/201012/msg00000.html --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Business Document Exchange TC forms All interested parties are invited to participate in the new OASIS Business Document Exchange Technical Committee. This group will define specifications for a lightweight and federated messaging infrastructure supporting a 4-corner model for the secure and reliable exchange of electronic documents. Mikkel Hippe Brun of Tradeshift is the convener; a TC chair or two co-chairs will be elected at the first meeting, which will be held by teleconference on 19 Jan. This group will carry on the mission of WS-I to advance Best Practices for selected groups of standards, across platforms, operating systems, and programming languages. Test Assertions represents the testable items relating to the normative statements made in the SCA JMS Binding specification. TestCases represent a series of tests that an SCA runtime must pass in order to claim conformance. The POJO Component Implementation specification extends the SCA Assembly Model by defining how a Java class provides an implementation of an SCA component. The workshop will be webcast by the World Bank for those who cannot attend in person. OASIS Foundational Sponsor, Microsoft, is sponsoring the event, in cooperation with the World Bank and CS Transform.
