Welcome to OASIS News, a bi-weekly update of announcements, accomplishments, and activities for the international open standards consortium. In this issue: * OASIS announces International Cloud Symposium * Board and TAB elections are underway * Field Force Management (FFM) TC forms * ICOM 1.0 public review begins * Electronic Court Filing public reviews begin * CMIS 1.0 Errata public review begins * Open CSA elects Steering Committee * B2B Web Services webinar features ebMS and AS4 * OASIS cosponsors Structure 2011 * Important dates -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OASIS announces International Cloud Symposium "The Intersection of Policies, Standards, & Best Practices for Robust Trusted Public Sector Cloud Deployments" is the theme of this first annual event, which will be held 10-14 Oct at the historic Ditton Manor outside London. The interactive format will allow professionals from public, private and academic sectors to share experiences on cloud adoption challenges and barriers. The newest developments in successful cloud computing implementations will also be featured. The Symposium is being organized by the OASIS IDtrust and eGov Member Sections in partnership with the Cloud Best Practices Network and Siena Initiative. http://events.oasis-open.org/home/cloud/2011/home -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Board and TAB elections are underway Each candidate elected to serve on the Board of Directors and the Technical Advisory Board will serve until July 2013. The Voting Representative for each Foundational, Sponsor, and Contributor member is encouraged to cast their organization's ballot before 15 June. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/members/201105/msg00006.html -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Field Force Management (FFM) TC forms All interested parties are invited to participate in the new OASIS FFM Technical Committee. This group will address the data use and integration challenges faced by enterprises that deploy large field staffs to deliver services to customers. TC members will define a standard integration interface that will be used for relaying field work requests between centralized planning and field communication systems. Principal use cases include field work request dispatching and the reliable and scalable collection of data from the field. Thinh Nguyenphu of Nokia Siemens Networks is the convener; a TC chair or two co-chairs will be elected at the first meeting, which will be held by teleconference on 20 June. The ECF Web Services Service Interaction Profile 2.0 can be used to be transmit ECF 4.0 messages between Internet-connected systems. The Portable Media Service Interaction Profile 2.0 provides a means to store ECF 4.0 message transmissions to portable media. Open CSA works to advance open standards that simplify SOA application development.
