Executive Director, Laurent Liscia, will provide insights into accomplishments and plans for the group. Treasurer, Jim Hughes of Microsoft, will review the financial status of the organization. COO, Scott McGrath will present the Distinguished Contributors Awards, recognizing four outstanding individuals who have made a significant impact on open standards. The AGM will be followed by a networking mixer for members and non-members. Members who are able to attend are asked to RSVP to member-services@oasis-open.org. The public review ends 28 July. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/201107/msg00004.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Energy Market Information Exchange (EMIX) public review underway This specification defines an information model and XML vocabulary for the interoperable and standard exchange of prices and product definitions in transactive energy markets. It is one of three related OASIS technical works in progress. The public review ends 26 July. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/201107/msg00002.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SAML 2.0 Session Token Profile public review underway This specification defines a format for communicating security session states based on the SAML Assertion. It also specifies two different mechanisms for communicating this information between servers via a standard Web browser. The public review ends 26 July. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/201107/msg00001.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IDtrust prepares for Steering Committee election Nominations are now open for three seats on the OASIS Identity and Trusted Infrastructure (IDtrust) Member Section Steering Committee. The successful candidates will serve two-year terms. IDtrust works to promote greater understanding and adoption of standards-based identity and trusted infrastructure technologies, policies, and practices. All IDtrust participants are invited to nominate qualified candidates and/or consider serving. The deadline to nominate candidates is 1 Aug; the elections will be held 2-16 Aug. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/announce/201107/msg00000.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LegalXML seeks nominees for Steering Committee Nominations are now open for one seat on the LegalXML Member Section Steering Committee. The successful candidate will serve a one-year term. LegalXML produces technical specifications that support implementation of XML technology in the legal system for use by all who have a stake in electronic legal documents, records, and information exchanges. All LegalXML participants are invited to nominate qualified candidates and/or consider serving. The deadline to nominate candidates is 10 Aug; the elections will be held 11-25 Aug. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/announce/201107/msg00001.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SIENA and NIST to advance international Cloud road map at ICS The International Cloud Symposium (ICS), to be hosted by OASIS in the UK this fall, will feature a half-day interactive session jointly organized by the European Union-funded SIENA Initiative and the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). In this session, which will take place on 13 Oct, SIENA and NIST officials will provide updates on their current roadmapping activities for Grids and Clouds and explore ways to further an international collaboration. Gap analysis, in-house solutions, and responses from standard development organizations will all play a roll in the session.
