OASIS Website Upgrade and Downtime Update

The new members-only pages and TC collaboration tools are here!

We must take the website and mail lists offline in order to complete
the transition to the new systems. We are executing these changes over
the weekend to minimize the impact on your work, but please plan
accordingly so you do not expect access to the services during the
downtime.

Virtually all OASIS web and mail resources to be offline and unavaible
for use between 10 PM (22:00) US EDT Friday and midnight (00:00)
Monday morning.

The one OASIS resource that is expected to remain available during the
transition period is direct access to  the Standards Library at
docs.oasis-open.org.

Here is what to expect when the new site comes online:

- all links and urls to existing documents, ballots, emails, TCs email
addresses etc will remain the same.
- all your TC participation rights, mail list subscriptions etc will
remain the same
- all the TC tools you use now - calendars, wikis, issue trackers,
document upload and download will all function the same
- The look and feel will match the new look now seen on the public
pages, like www.oasis-open.org
- the navigation design for the members-only pages and TC pages will be improved
- some new features will be available to all members
- the site will be running on a new infrastructure that is more stable
and secure than the previous site

After we complete the transition and final testing, I will send a
message with some tips on using the new navigation design and some of
the service improvements.  Until then, enjoy the weekend away from
your OASIS work!
