The AMQP, CMIS, DITA, Emergency Management, KMIP, and XACML TCs had the highest number of members providing feedback. Congratulations to Preben Lauridsen of OIOXML (UBL), Sunjeet Singh of INETCO (AMQP), and Darrell O'Donnell (Emergency Mgmt), who were winners in the random drawing of respondents. They will receive their choice of an OASIS aloha shirt or sweatshirt for themselves and for their TC chairs. Anonymous aggregate results for each TC will be reviewed by staff and chairs. Thanks to all who took the time to complete the survey! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OASIS Standard ballot opens for ebXML RegRep 4.0 Balloting for ebXML RegRep 4.0 is now underway and will close 25 Jan. This multi-part specification may be used to implement interoperable registries and repositories. All organizational members of OASIS are encouraged to vote; those who wish to discuss the ballot may do so through oasis-member-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/201201/msg00000.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- searchRetrieve 1.0 public review begins The specification defines a generic protocol for the interaction required between a client and server for performing searches. It facilitates interoperability between different search protocols by providing a common framework and terminology for describing search protocols. It is designed for both log analysis and real-time execution. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/201201/msg00004.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IDtrust will sponsor NIST/NSTIC Workshop The U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) / National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace (NSTIC) will host a two-day workshop sponsored by OASIS IDtrust Member Section in Gaithersburg, Maryland on Mar 13-14. The workshop will focus on how technologies and standards can help the framework of the identity ecosystem coalesce and will include several presentations on standards activities at OASIS. http://www.nist.gov/itl/csd/ct/nstic_idtrust-2012.cfm ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Passes available for KMIP and XACML Interop Demos at RSA OASIS members may register for complimentary show floor passes for the RSA Expo in San Francisco, 27 Feb-2 Mar. The event will feature OASIS Interoperability demonstrations involving the Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) and the eXtensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML). Participants include Axiomatics, Boeing, Cryptsoft, IBM, NetApp, NextLabs, Oracle, Quest, QuintessenceLabs, SafeNet, and Thales Information Systems Security.
