OASIS announces Board and TAB candidates 


Peter Brown (Individual), Martin Chapman (Oracle), Mike DeNicola (Fujitsu), Tony Giroti (1Efficiency), Dave Ing (IBM), and Sanjay Patil (SAP) are candidates for the five seats on the Board of Directors. Patrick Durusau (Individual) and Ashok Malhotra (Oracle) are candidates for the two seats on the Technical Advisory Board. Each OASIS Foundational, Sponsor, or Contributor organization is eligible to vote via one ballot. Elections will be held 20 May - 20 Jun.

OASIS Standard vote opens for CMIS


Balloting for the Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) 1.1 is now underway and will close 23 May. CMIS defines a domain model and Web Services, Restful AtomPub and browser (JSON) bindings that can be used by applications to work with one or more Content Management repositories or systems. The specification was developed by representatives of OASIS Foundational Sponsors, IBM, Microsoft, and ISIS Papyrus, as well as Adobe, Alfresco, Booz Allen Hamilton, EMC, HP, Liferay, Magnolia, Nuxeo, Open Text, Oracle, SAP AG, and others. All organizational members of OASIS are encouraged to vote on CMIS.

OASIS Standard vote opens for LegalXML ECF


Balloting for the Electronic Court Filing (ECF) 4.01 is now underway and will close 23 May. ECF consists of a set of non-proprietary XML and Web services specifications that promote interoperability among electronic court filing vendors and systems. All organizational members of OASIS are encouraged to vote on ECF.

EDXL-TEP public review begins 


Emergency Data Exchange Language Tracking of Emergency Patients (EDXL-TEP) 1.0 provides an XML messaging standard for the exchange information during patient encounter through admission or release. This public review ends 8 Jul.

OData public review begins


This three-part public review includes the OData 4.0 specification and the OData Atom Format and JSON Format. OData is a REST-based protocol that simplifies the querying and sharing of data across applications for re-use in the enterprise, Cloud, and mobile devices. This public review ends 2 Jun.

OASIS CEO to speak at Innovate Open Lifecycle Summit

 
Laurent Liscia will highlight OASIS standards at the Innovate Open Lifecycle Summit on 2 Jun in Orlando, Florida. This interactive event brings together leaders from different standards groups and industry organizations to discuss the importance of open standards in software and product lifecycle integration, the direction these standards are taking. and how others can influence them. The Summit will also feature presentations from OASIS members Mik Kirsten of Tasktop, Michael Michael Kaczmarski, Kevin Stoodley, and Angel Diaz of IBM.
