TOSCA becomes OASIS Standard

 
Members have approved the Topology and Orchestration Specification for Cloud Applications (TOSCA) 1.0 as an OASIS Standard. TOSCA enables interoperable deployment of cloud services and their management throughout the complete lifecycle. Congratulations to TOSCA TC co-chairs, Paul Lipton of CA Technologies and Simon Moser of IBM, and to all TC participants including representatives of Foundational Sponsors, IBM and Primeton, as well as Sponsors, ASG, Axway, CA Technologies, Cisco, Citrix, Cloudsoft, EMC, Fujitsu, HP, NetApp, Red Hat, SAP, Software AG, and others for this accomplishment.

UBL TC proposes submission to ISO/IEC JTC 1


All members are invited to comment on a proposed submission of the Universal Business Language 2.1 OASIS Standard to the ISO/IEC Joint Technical Committee 1 (JTC 1). The member public review starts 3 Dec and ends 1 Jan.

OData TC publishes Committee Specs

OData 4.0, OData Atom Format 4.0, and OData JSON Format 4.0 have been approved by the TC. The specifications enable the creation of REST-based data services, which allow resources to be published and edited by Web clients using simple HTTP messages.

Public reviews open for
EDXL-TEP, BDXR, PKCS #11, and OData


EDXL Tracking of Emergency Patients 1.0 defines an XML messaging standard for exchange of emergency patient and tracking information during patient encounter through admission or release. The public review ends 6 Dec.

The BDXR TC's Business Document Metadata Service Location 1.0 advances an open standards framework to support public e-procurement and e-invoicing. The public review ends 22 Dec.

PKCS #11 standardizes the way cryptographic tokens control authentication information (personal identity, cryptographic keys, certificates, digital signatures, biometric data). The public review ends 26 Dec.

OData 4.0 and OData JSON Format 4.0 have entered a 60-day public review period in preparation for a member ballot to consider their approval as OASIS Standards. These public reviews end 27 Jan.

Forte joins as newest OASIS Sponsor


Forte Research Systems develops clinical and translational research management software and provides free educational resources for the clinical research community. Forte will be represented in the new OASIS eTMF TC.

New OASIS Contributor members include: American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), CareLex, Charismathics, Nanzan University, Nextiva, Semper Fortis, and SureClinical.
