This year's Outstanding Accomplished TC award goes to the
Universal Business Language (UBL) TC, chaired by Tim McGrath and Ken Holman, with Jon Bosak as Chair Emeritus.
"The UBL TC has changed the face of e-business and government acquisition practices globally, with adoption in countries like Denmark, Sweden, Turkey, Norway, and the Netherlands. UBL is the basis of e-PRIOR, the e-procurement platform developed by the European Commission and its member states, as well as for the initial deployments of OpenPEPPOL, the Open Pan-European Public Procurement Online system. In 2014, it has been put forward for both the EU MSP and PAS submission to ISO. The UBL TC, under Jon Bosak's leadership, has set the standard for how TCs cab operate as truly international efforts."
The Outstanding New TC award goes to the
Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) TC, chaired by Subhash Sankuratripati of NetApp and Saikat Saha of Oracle with Robert Lockhart of Thales e-Security as secretary.
"At a time when concerns about data security and information privacy increase daily, the KMIP TC relaunched itself and expanded its coverage to address the needs of cloud computing. Since then, it has released nine Committee Spec Drafts as well as updated use cases and a new user guide. It also organized a successful, high profile interoperability demonstration at the 2014 RSA Conference. KMIP is injecting new energy into the area of key management."
Congratulations to all the UBL and KMIP TC participants on their outstanding accomplishments.
Thanks to the TAB for taking on the difficult job of selecting winners from what was an extremely impressive field of nominees.
The awards were presented by Chet Ensign as part of the OASIS Annual General Meeting.
