Subject: Key Management Interoperability Protocol Specification V1.1 Errata 01 and Key Management Interoperability Protocol Profiles V1.1 Errata 01 published

OASIS Members,

OASIS is pleased to announce the approval and publication of two new Approved Errata by the members of the OASIS Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) TC:

Key Management Interoperability Protocol Specification Version 1.1 Errata 01
OASIS Approved Errata
25 September 2014

and

Key Management Interoperability Protocol Profiles Version 1.1 Errata 01
OASIS Approved Errata
25 September 2014

Overview:

These documents list errata for Key Management Interoperability Protocol Specification Version 1.1 and for Key Management Interoperability Protocol Profiles Version 1.1. Versions of the specifications with the errata applied have not been produced with this release.

Description of the TC:

The OASIS KMIP TC works to define a single, comprehensive protocol for communication between encryption systems and a broad range of new and legacy enterprise applications, including email, databases, and storage devices. By removing redundant, incompatible key management processes, KMIP will provide better data security while at the same time reducing expenditures on multiple products.

Members of the OASIS Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) TC [1] approved this specification by Special Majority Vote. The specification had been released for public review as required by the TC Process [2]. The vote to approve as a Committee Specification passed [3], and the document is now available online in the OASIS Library as referenced above.

Our congratulations to the TC on achieving this milestone and our thanks to the reviewers who provided feedback on the specification drafts to help improve the quality of the work.
