XACML Profiles become OASIS Standards

XACML EC-US Profile defines the use of the eXtensible Access Control Markup Language XACML in expressing policies for complying with USA government regulations for export compliance. XACML IPC Profile describes how XACML can be used in intellectual property control policies. XACML MAP Authorization Profile provides guidance for TCG TNC Metadata Access Points (MAP) policies. Congratulations to XACML TC chairs, Hal Lockhart of Oracle and Bill Parducci; to representatives of Foundational Sponsors: IBM, Microsoft, and Primeton; to Sponsors: Boeing, CA Technologies, Cisco, Connectis, EMC, Oracle, Red Hat, U.S. Veterans Health Administration, ViewDS; and to all XACML TC members.

Transformational Gov Framework TC publishes Committee Notes

TGF: Impact of the Internet of Things (IoT) provides an impact assessment of IoT on Transformational Government programs and the delivery of services by the public sector. Mapping OASIS TGF to ISO 38500  addresses potential future work based on a mapping between the TGF OASIS Standard and the ISO 38500-series of deliverables covering Governance of Information Technology. Congratulations to TGF TC chair, John Borras; to representatives of Foundational Sponsor, Microsoft; Sponsors, Fujitsu and the US ISE; and to all TGF TC members.
