Subject: Public reviews for Key Management Interoperability Protocol Profiles V1.3 and Test Cases V1.3 - end June 15th

The OASIS Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) TC [1] members have recently approved a Committee Specification Draft (CSD) and a Committee Note Draft (CND) and submitted both for 30-day public reviews:

Key Management Interoperability Protocol Profiles Version 1.3
Committee Specification Draft 01 / Public Review Draft 01
07 April 2016

and

Key Management Interoperability Protocol Test Cases Version 1.3
Committee Note Draft 01 / Public Review Draft 01
07 April 2016

Overview:

KMIP Profiles V1.3 is intended for developers and architects who wish to design systems and applications that conform to the Key Management Interoperability Protocol specification.

KMIP Test Cases V1.3 describes test cases that demonstrate the Key Management Interoperability Protocol when used in implementations.

About the TC:

The Key Management Interoperability Protocol (KMIP) is a single, comprehensive protocol for communication between clients that request any of a wide range of encryption keys and servers that store and manage those keys. By replacing redundant, incompatible key management protocols, KMIP provides better data security while at the same time reducing expenditures on multiple products.

Public Review Period:

The public review starts 17 May 2016 at 00:00 UTC and ends 15 June 2016 at 23:59 UTC.

This is an open invitation to comment. OASIS solicits feedback from potential users, developers and others, whether OASIS members or not, for the sake of improving the interoperability and quality of its technical work.

Reviewers may provide comments directly from the comment-tag version of document. The files
