Borderless Cyber

Borderless Cyber conferences at the European Parliament in Brussels and at Keio University in Tokyo brought together policy makers and cybersecurity strategists from around the world. Many thanks to our event Sponsors and members for helping make these two events so successful:
Slides are now available for Borderless Cyber Europe and Borderless Cyber Asia.

Stay tuned for details on Borderless Cyber USA 2017, which will be held in next Spring.

Common Security Advisory Framework (CSAF) TC launches

The cybersecurity community is coming together to standardize the way vulnerability issues are disclosed by vendors. Building on the Common Vulnerability Reporting Framework (CVRF), CSAF will enable greater interoperability among products, ensuring that structured, machine-readable security advisories can be produced and consumed more broadly. The first CSAF TC meeting will be held via teleconference on 16 Nov. New members welcome.

New OASIS TC advances Electric Vehicle charging equipment data standard, OCPP

OCPP defines a truly open, interoperable standard for EV charging data that enables any EV charge point to connect with any central system or third-party network service provider, regardless of vendor. The standard will help grow the global EV market by enabling charging stations to be seamlessly integrated into grid operations.

OSLC Member Section boards Queen Mary for IBM IoT event

The Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC) Member Section will participate in the IBM Continuous Engineering for the Internet of Things conference, 15-17 Nov in Long Beach, California. OSLC TCs will host a Meet-and-Greet as well as a Birds-of-a-Feather lunch during the event.

Tim McGrath passes UBL baton

OASIS bids farewell to long-time UBL champion and TC co-chair, Tim McGrath, who announced his decision to resign from standards work and take on new challenges. Ken Holman expresses the UBL TC's appreciation for Tim, and Laurent Liscia reflects on Tim's amazing contributions to our community. Our deep gratitude, fond memories, and best wishes go out to Tim.

WS-Calendar TC approves Committee Specifications

The WS-Calendar Minimal PIM-Conformant Schema optimizes the WS-Calendar Platform Independent Model (PIM) for use in machine-to-machine (M2M) schedule negotiations. Schedule Signals and Streams defines a normative structure for conveying information linked to repetitive intervals of time, for history, telemetry, projections, and bids.

Emergency Management TC approves
EDXL-SitRep as Committee Specification

Emergency Data Exchange Language Situation Reporting (EDXL-SitRep) describes a set of standard reports and elements that can be used for data sharing among emergency information systems. EDXL-SitRep provides incident information for situation awareness on which incident command can base decisions.
