OASIS is pleased to announce the results of the 2020 election of directors. We are proud to have a board entirely selected by Members without restriction as to level of membership. The diverse representation thatÂresults from this process ensures the continualÂevolution of OASIS. This year's results prove this process works.
Jeremy Allison of Google,ÂRich Bowen of Red Hat andÂWende Peters of Bank of America were elected. Reelected Board members include Frederick Hirsch, Individual member, Gershon Janssen, Individual member, and Richard Struse of Mitre. All will serve a two-year term starting July 2020.
These elected board members join continuing members Martin Chapman of Oracle, Bruce Rich of Cryptsoft, Jason Keirstead of IBM Beth PumoÂof Kaiser Permanente, and Daniel Reidel of New Context, whose terms expire July 2021.
OASIS extends our deep appreciation to outgoing Board Members Bret Jordan of Broadcom, Margaret LaBrecque of Intel, and Paul Lipton. In their own and very unique ways, each were major factors in OASIS and contributed significantly to help grow and improve OASIS. Of special note, Paul Lipton was first elected to the Board in 2009 and was always one we could count on in the workings of the Board. He made his presence known in every meeting and important decision through his contributions and careful analysis. Thanks to him and all departing board members!
And most of all - thanks to all OASIS members who participatedÂin the board nomination and election process. 2020 may go down as the year of the pandemic. But it will also be known as the year that the members of OASIS rose above that distraction for both routine matters like elections but also to continue the work of our committees and projects for the public good. For these things, we should all be proud and thankful!
