Subject: Re: [mqtt] Groups - Event "MQTT TC Meeting" modified
Are you saying the meeting invites are publicly available? On 7/18/2013 3:07 PM, Chet Ensign wrote:
Hi Paul,
Just to back up what Richard said, a number of TCs have had rogue callers crashing their conference calls - dialing in and either lurking or, worse, actively disrupting the meeting. I saw some other mentions of this outside of OASIS and I'm wondering if it is the current prank-du-jour among folks with nothing better to do.
In any case, the meetings are of course only *supposed* to be open to members but once the meeting phone number and access code is out in public display,
IIRC a member login was required to access it?Webex? GoToMeeting?
there's no way to stop this from happening.
More capable conferencing system?
Whence the work-around which seems to be unfortunately needed...

Hi Paul,
OASIS experienced problems with groups of individuals dialling in to TC calls just to disrupt them.
I show one on 6/6.To remedy this OASIS suggested that participant codes should be changed and circulated as a bcc email to each of the TC members.
I've just checked and I included your registered email address in this communication on the 06.06.2013, 19.06.2013 and 03.07.2013.
Please do so. Leaving incorrect information in the invite is not helpful in any way.
At the TC's request, I scheduled a repeating meeting invite in Kavi, which was pre-loaded with the old participant code. When I adjust the agenda each week I have to remember to replace the old code with "as per email", something I forgot to do that this week.
Correct
Apologies for any frustration caused. Circulating the participant code separately is an additional administrative overhead and far from idea.
Since you were on the call, I assume you now have the correct code ?
Many thanks
Richard

Folks,
I've been informed the access code was changed some weeks back and NOT updated in the meeting invite.
Not good, and highly frustrating.
