Subject: Your public reviews for MQTT and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework Version 1.0 and MQTT Version 3.1.1 have been announced

Members of the MQTT TC,

Your 30 day public review for MQTT and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework Version 1.0 and your 15 day public review for MQTT Version 3.1.1 haave been announced. The reviews end on 06 May for MQTT V3.1.1 and 21 May for MQTT-NIST. You can find the announcements at https://www.oasis-open.org/news/announcements/15-day-public-review-for-mqtt-3-1-1-ends-06-may and https://www.oasis-open.org/news/announcements/30-day-public-review-for-mqtt-and-the-nist-cybersecurity-framework-version-1-0-en.

I have also submitted the announcement of the reviews to the LinkedIn OASIS group (http://lnkd.in/dNsuimH), to the LinkedIn MQTT and MQ Telemetry group (https://www.linkedin.com/groups?home=&gid=4097093 - the posting will require approval by the moderator), the OASIS Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/oasis.open) and Twitter. Feel free to like/share/comment/re-tweet these announcements to get the word out.

Please consider forwarding these announcement on to other parties who may be interested in the work. In my experience, TCs that actively solicit outside review get more and better quality feedback on their specifications.

Also, please keep in mind the OASIS requirements for handling comments [1]. Non-TC member feedback can only be submitted to the TC's comment list mqtt-comment@lists.oasis-open.org. The TC must have someone subscribed to this mail list to monitor comments. All submitted comments must be acknowledged by the TC. In addition, the TC needs to maintain a log of comments received and their resolutions. The comment resolution log will need to be avaiable when you begin your next public review. A simple comment resolution log template is available in OpenDocument [2] and Office [3] format.

Lastly, note that both these reviews offer readers the opportunity to directly comment from an HTML version of the documents. In http://docs.oasis-open.org/mqtt/mqtt-nist-cybersecurity/v1.0/cnprd01/mqtt-nist-cybersecurity-v1.0-cnprd01-COMMENT-TAGS.html or http://docs.oasis-open.org/mqtt/mqtt/v3.1.1/csprd02/mqtt-v3.1.1-csprd02-COMMENT-TAGS.html, readers will find a “[comment?]” link next to each section heading. Clicking on this link will launch their email application and begin a message to mqtt-comment@lists.oasis-open.org with the specific section number and title in the subject line. (For example, “Public review comment for mqtt-v3.1.1-csprd02: 1.1 References”) They simply enter their comment and click send.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding the review or next steps.
