Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (MQTT-240) Reference to port 1883 (review comment from Nicholas Humfrey)

Andrew Banks updated MQTT-240:
------------------------------

    Proposal:
Add in section 4.2 Network Connections the following non normative comment.

TCP ports 1883 and 8883 are registered with IANA for MQTT plain text and TLS communication respectively.

> Key: MQTT-240
> URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/MQTT-240
> Project: OASIS Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) TC
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: core
> Affects Versions: 3.1.1
> Reporter: Richard Coppen

> Public review comment received from Nicholas Humfrey (point 3)
> 3) There is no mention of TCP port 1883 in the document. I would expect
> to see something about it in the Non normative comment of section 4.2.
> Section 5.1 provides the statement "SHOULD use TCP port 8883". I find it
> odd that Section 6 provides much stronger wording around WebSockets,
> than section 4.2 provides around TCP.
