> "Real" IoT applications involve much more than just telemetry data exchange.  The basic semantics of MQTT could be expanded to include RPC and large content transfers (file transfers, software updates, etc.).  The RPC pattern is an important one to support, however.  We should explore an additional pattern (register/invoke) for enabling RPC over MQTT.
