Subject: Correction to Minutes for the TC meeting of the 27th September
- From: Ian Craggs <icraggs@uk.ibm.com>
- To: mqtt@lists.oasis-open.org

Hello all,
Brian sent me notification of an error in the minutes
that he spotted (see below). I wish to notify the TC of this
correction, to be approved at the next TC meeting. Thanks.
Hi Ian,
I was trying to remember why we re-opened MQTT-217 and was reviewing the
minutes. I think that the reference to MQTT-58 below in the 9/27 minutes
was intended to be MQTT-217, since 58 is a 3.1.1 issue which was opened
and then closed by Dr. Banks.
9/26:
[05:52] Ian Craggs: Issue 217 - implementation guidance around overlapping
subscriptions. This is tied up with issue 253 - subscription identification.
217 will be closed, and Nick will be assigned 253.
9/27:
[06:28] Ian Craggs: Next, Nick starts the discussion on issue 253 - subscription
identification
[07:20] Ian Craggs: It turns out that the proposed solution for issue 253
was too complex for the committee's liking
[07:23] Ian Craggs: As a result, alternative solutions will be looked into.
Issue 58, overlapping subscriptions, will be reopened. Raph suggested that
an indicator in the connack could return the behaviour of the server when
messages matching more than one subscription for an individual client are
encountered
