Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (MQTT-342) Maximum Packet Size - value to be sent [set] to zero and more
[ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/MQTT-342?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=65270#comment-65270 ] Ed Briggs commented on MQTT-342: -------------------------------- As Andrew Banks suggested, I have removed the hard coded limits I had previously put in the specification, and added non normative text 'It is the responsibility of the application to select a suitable Maximum Packet Size value, if it chooses to to use this property if it chooses to restrict the maximum packet size.' As Brian suggested, I have removed the unnecessary 'there is'. I made the text about 'not retransmitting an oversized packet ' NON-Normative as suggested. > Maximum Packet Size - value to be sent [set] to zero and more > ------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: MQTT-342 > URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/MQTT-342 > Project: OASIS Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) TC > Issue Type: Bug > Components: edits > Affects Versions: 5, wd10 > Reporter: Brian Raymor > Assignee: Ed Briggs > Priority: Trivial > Fix For: 5, wd10 > > > 1091 It is a Protocol Error to include the Maximum Packet Size more than once, or for the value to be sent to > 1092 zero, or to be set greater than 2684354565. > 1434 It is a Protocol Error to include the Maximum Packet Size more than once, or for the value to be sent to > 1435 zero, or to be set greater than 2684354565. > How about: > or for the value to be set to zero or greater than 2684354565 -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2.2#6258)
