Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (MQTT-510) Improper self reference from Conformance Clause section
Ken Borgendale created MQTT-510: ----------------------------------- Summary: Improper self reference from Conformance Clause section Key: MQTT-510 URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/MQTT-510 Project: OASIS Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) TC Issue Type: Bug Components: edits Affects Versions: 5, CSD01 Reporter: Ken Borgendale Jacques Durand (TAB) CClause should not refer to itself (We read in Section 7: "It satisfies the MUST level requirements in the following chapters …. “Chapter 7 – Conformance”) It should not have to. (recursivity is pretty in code but not in COnf clauses!) Additionally there is no need for any “MUST” in a Clause. That is preferable in order to avoid confusion with regular normative statements in the specification body, a conf clause should be worded more like a rule: “if the <conf target> satisfies/follows/fulfill…. Then it can be claimed conforming according to clause ABC”, or “a <target> that satisfies/follows/fulfill…. Can claim conformance as an <MQTT Server/Client”. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2.2#6258)
