Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (MQTT-552) Should a broker prohibit publish -1 messages from sleeping clients

Simon Johnson created MQTT-552:
----------------------------------

             Summary: Should a broker prohibit publish -1 messages from sleeping clients
                 Key: MQTT-552
                 URL: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/MQTT-552
             Project: OASIS Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) TC
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: MQTT-SN
    Affects Versions: MQTT-SN-1.2
            Reporter: Simon Johnson

From the specification;

"..Because PUBLISH messages with QoS level -1 âcould be sent at any time by clients (even with no connection setup"

I took this to mean that there is no issue with a broker processing messages received at -1 from a sleeping client. Perhaps we could confirm this, and make clear in implementation notes precisely when -1 messaging is allowed.
