AVDL v1.0 becomes an OASIS Standard
The consortium is pleased to announce that Application Vulnerability Description Language (AVDL) v1.0 has been approved as an OASIS Standard. ADVL is an XML schema that defines the exchange of information relating to security vulnerabilities of applications exposed to networks.

The UNECE Strengthens Work on Internet Enterprise Development
The
United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) has launched a new phase
of the work of the Team of Specialists on Internet Enterprise Development
(TSIED), with the aim of assisting member States in adopting policies and
practices that foster enterprise development through the use of new information
and communication technologies. Mr. Patrick Gannon will serve as Chairman of
the TSIED. The Vice-Chairmen are: Mr. István Erényi (Hungary),
Mr. George Gomelauri (Georgia),
Mr. Georgi Stoev (Bulgaria)
and Mr. Nurbek Toichubaev (Kyrgyzstan).
