Public Review of UBL Naming and Design Rules (NDR) Begins 

The OASIS Universal Business Language (UBL) TC has approved UBL NDR v1.0 as
a Committee Draft and is submitting it for public review. UBL NDR creates
the rules and guidelines for normative-form schema design, instance design,
and markup naming to be used for business transactions. The public review
will end 17 Oct. The draft is available for download, and comments are being
solicited from all interested parties.

TC Approves XACML 2.0 and Profiles 

The OASIS XACML TC has approved the XACML 2.0 Specification, XACML XML DSig
Profile, XACML Privacy Policy, and XACML Profile for SAML 2.0 as Committee
Drafts.  This is an important step in the development of XACML 2.0, an XML
language for expressing Access Control Policies. It is expected that these
documents, as well as others, will undergo public review soon.

OASIS Publishes InterOp Demo Policy

The Consortium has issued a new document describing how to conduct OASIS
InterOps, public demonstrations of interoperable implementations for
approved OASIS work. Usually hosted in connection with a conference or trade
show, OASIS InterOps are official Consortium activities, endorsed by one or
more OASIS TCs, and mutually supported by OASIS staff and InterOp
Participants. This Policy has been developed to insure fair participation,
proper coordination, and maximum promotion.
