Nominations Open for Special Board of Directors Election

 

With Colin Evans of Intel having resigned his position on the OASIS Board of Directors, a Special Election will be held to complete his term, which expires in July 2006. Candidate nominations from OASIS members will be accepted until 21 Jan.

OASIS Committees to Meet at Symposium

OASIS TCs are strongly encouraged to meet at the OASIS Symposium in New Orleans, Apr 27-29. The event presents a great opportunity to interact with other TCs. Several TCs have already reserved meeting space, including:

 

- OASIS Web Services for Remote Portlets

- OASIS Emergency Management

- OASIS Business-Centric Methodology

- OASIS International Health Continuum

- OASIS Content Assembly

- OASIS Web Services Composite Application Framework

- OASIS e-Government

- OASIS LegalXML Integrated Justice & Court Filing

- OASIS XRI Data Interchange  

 

Chairs from other TCs should review the details on the event and complete the online scheduling form. Space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

OASIS Federated Identity InterOp Demo to be held at RSA Conference, 16-17 February

OASIS, GSA E-Authentication Initiative, Enspier, and RSA Security will
co-sponsor the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) v2.0 OASIS Standard
InterOp Demo at the RSA Conference on 16-17 February in San Francisco.
Computer Associates, DataPower, Enspier, Entrust, Hewlett Packard, NIPPON
Telegraph and Telephone (NTT), OpenNetworks, Oracle, Principal Identity, RSA
Security, Sun Microsystems, Symlabs and Trustgenix will come together to
demonstrate secure exchange of authentication, attribute, and authorization
information between disparate security domains, which makes
vendor-independent web single sign-on and secure e-business transactions
possible.

OASIS Committees Promote Standards

 

Organizations investing resources to create OASIS Standards may also consider working to educate the marketplace on the importance of these specifications. OASIS members may form Committees or Sub-Committees to promote the adoption of standards.
