Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements,
accomplishments, and activities for the international standards
consortium.

Public Review of CIQ Commences

The OASIS Customer Information Quality (CIQ) TC has approved CIQ v3.0 as
a Committee Draft and submitted it for public review. CIQ delivers
global, application-independent, open XML specifications for
party/customer information and profile management. The specification
package includes extensible Name Language (eNL) v3.0, extensible Address
Language (eAL) v3.0, extensible Name and Address Language (eNAL), and
extensible Party Information Language (ePIL) v3.0. All interested
parties are encouraged to provide comments by 12 June.

Consortium Announces Election Schedule for Board of Directors and TAB

Nominations for the OASIS Board of Directors and for the Technical
Advisory Board (TAB) will be accepted 24 April through 23 May. All
members are encouraged to consider becoming or nominating a candidate.
Representatives on the OASIS Board exercise a major impact on the
strategic direction of the Consortium and on development and
implementation of XML-based standards and specifications. TAB members
identify opportunities and areas for standardization and advise the
OASIS Board on the Consortium's technical agenda and on interoperability
and alignment issues. Members of both Boards serve two-year terms.
Balloting will take place 1-25 June.

OASIS Extends Hotel Reservation Deadline for Symposium

The deadline for Symposium attendees to receive the 199 USD discounted
rate on guest rooms at the Grand Hyatt has been extended to 21 April.

the Grand Hyatt.

OASIS Seeks Computer Projector Donations

To better support face-to-face Committee meetings at the Symposium,
Forum, and other events, OASIS is seeking donations of computer
projectors. Renting projectors at hotels and conferences can cost
upwards of 1,000 USD per day for each Committee. If your organization
can offer a used computer projector or funds to purchase a projector, or
you can extend a company discount on projectors to OASIS, please contact
events@oasis-open.org. All donations will be acknowledged in OASIS News
and on the Consortium web site.
