OASIS News 17 July 2006 Welcome to OASIS News, a weekly update of announcements, accomplishments, and activities for the international standards consortium. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Balloting Opens for WSDM 1.1 as OASIS Standard Consortium members are asked to vote on a set of Web Services Distributed Management (WSDM) v1.1 specifications that have been put forth for consideration as an OASIS Standard. WSDM enables management applications to be built using Web services, allowing resources to be controlled by many managers through a single interface. Balloting closes 31 July. OASIS Open Standards 2006 is the fourth annual Asia Pacific event where both management and technical professionals from the business and government sector can gather to share expertise and promote open discussion on the latest technologies, applications, and services supporting the global e-Business community. http://www.open-standards.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OASIS Seeks Presentations for Annual European Event OASIS invites proposals for presentations, and panel sessions for the third annual OASIS Adoption Forum, 28-29 November.
