Consortium solicits feedback on proposed BPEL4People TC charter

Members are asked to review and comment on a draft charter to establish the
OASIS WS-BPEL Extension for People (BPEL4People) TC. The group plans to extend
the WS-BPEL 2.0 OASIS Standard to enable human interactions. Proposers include
representatives of four OASIS Foundational Sponsors--BEA, IBM, SAP, and Sun
Microsystems--as well as Sponsor members, Active Endpoints, Adobe, Axway,
Fujitsu, NIST, Oracle, Software AG, and others. The comment period for the
charter closes 28 Jan.

OASIS Standard vote on XLIFF 1.2 opens

Balloting for the XML Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF) version 1.2
specification is underway now and will remain open until 31 Jan. XLIFF enables
localizable data to be stored and carried from one step of the localization
process to the other, while allowing interoperability between tools. All
organizational members of OASIS are encouraged to vote: those who wish to
discuss this ballot may do so through member-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org.

DSS-X and XRI TCs join IDtrust Member Section

The OASIS IDtrust Member Section welcomes affiliation from the Digital
Signature Services eXtended (DSS-X) TC and the Extensible Resource Identifier
(XRI) TC. The DSS-X TC, co-chaired by Juan Cruellas of the Centre d'aplicacions
avanades d'Internet (CANET) and Stefan Drees, works to advance digital
signature services standards for XML. The XRI TC, co-chaired by Drummond Reed
of Cordance and Gabriel Wachob of AmSoft Systems, defines a royalty-free
URI-compatible scheme and resolution protocol for abstract structured
identifiers used to identify and share resources across domains and
applications. These TCs will contribute to IDtrust's goal of promoting greater
understanding and adoption of standards-based identity and trusted
infrastructure technologies, policies, and practices.
