Eduardo's leadership at the Board level will be missed, however, he will continue to be involved in OASIS TCs. A Special Election will he held to fill his term, which runs to July 2011. Nominations will be accepted through 11 Mar. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/members/201002/msg00002.html ----------------------------------------------------------- OASIS Standard vote opens for WebCGM 2.1 Balloting for WebCGM 2.1 is now underway and will close 28 Feb. WebCGM is a profile of the Computer Graphics Metafile (ISO/IEC 8632:1999) optimized for Web applications in technical illustration, electronic documentation, geophysical data visualization, and similar fields. The specification was developed by representatives of Boeing, PTC, and others. All organizational members of OASIS are encouraged to vote on WebCGM; those who wish to discuss the ballot may do so through member-discuss@lists.oasis-open.org. ----------------------------------------------------------- SCA Client and Implementation Model public review begins The Service Component Architecture (SCA)/C and C++ TC has submitted two Client and Implementation models for public review. This work is part of the suite of SCA specifications which describe a model for building applications and systems using a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
