OpenDocument Errata becomes OASIS Standard

Members have approved version 1.0 of the Open Document Format (ODF)
for Office Applications Errata as an OASIS Standard. Suitable for
text, spreadsheets, charts, graphs, presentations, and databases, the
ODF frees documents from their applications-of-origin, enabling them
to be exchanged, retrieved, and edited with any ODF-compliant software
or tool. Congratulations to the ODF TC co-chairs, Rob Weir of IBM and
Michael Brauer of Oracle, and to all TC participants including
representatives of OASIS Foundational Sponsors, IBM and Microsoft; and
Sponsors, Boeing, Nokia, Novell, Oracle; and others for this
accomplishment.
