Noting the upcoming departure of Mary McRae from the OASIS staff, Laurent expresses deep gratitude for Mary's many contributions to OASIS standards development over the years. A transition team is currently being organized to ensure continued support for TCs. Laurent also announces that OASIS will be moving to a Kavi-hosted environment by mid-year. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/members/201012/msg00004.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OpenDocument (ODF) 1.2 public review begins OpenDocument 1.2 specifies an application-independent and platform-independent digital document file format. This specification is applicable to document authoring, editing, viewing, exchange and archiving, including text documents, spreadsheets, presentation graphics, drawings, charts and similar documents. The public review of OpenDocument 1.2 ends 1 Jan. http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/members/201012/msg00003.html ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OASIS eGov posts report on Transformational Workshop The report provides details on the Transformational Government Framework (TGF) Workshop, which was hosted by OASIS and the World Bank on 9 Dec in Washington DC. The event was very well attended with a large number of on-line participants via webcast.
